How to Reset a JBL Clip Speaker – With Pictures

If your JBL Clip speaker isn’t working properly, you may need to reset it to factory defaults. This will clear any customizations or settings that you’ve made, and return the speaker to its original state.

The different clip speakers have different ways to reset them, so make sure you’re using the correct instructions for your model.

Follow these steps to reset your JBL Clip 2 smart speaker:

1. Make sure your speaker is turned on

2. Hold down the ‘Volume+’ together with ‘Bluetooth’

3. Hold down for 2 seconds (the light should turn off)

4. The speaker will be turned off

5. When the speaker will be powered back on it will automatically go into Pairing Mode

Your JBL Clip 2 speaker is now reset to factory defaults!

Note: Before pairing with your phone for the second time, remove the Clip 2 from the list of available Bluetooth devices.

After you’ve reset your JBL Clip 2 speaker, you can begin using it again with its default settings. If you’re still having trouble, you may need to contact JBL customer support for further assistance or call JBL at: (800) 336-4525

Reset your JBL Clip 3 speaker:

Follow these steps to reset your JBL Clip 3 speaker:

1. Make sure your speaker is turned on

2. Hold down the ‘Volume+’ together with ▶️ ‘Play/Pause’

3. Hold down for 2 seconds (the light should turn off)

4. The speaker will be turned off.

5. When the speaker will be powered back on it will automatically go into Pairing Mode

Note: Remove the Clip 3 from your phone’s Bluetooth list before pairing again.

Your JBL Clip 3 speaker is now reset to factory defaults!

Reset your JBL Clip 4 speaker:

For the JBL Clip 4 Step 2 is a little different, to reset this speaker:

1. Make sure your speaker is turned on

2. Hold down the ‘Volume +’ together with BlueTooth

3. Hold down for 10 seconds (the light should turn off)

4. The speaker will be turned off.

5. When the speaker will be powered back on it will automatically go into Pairing Mode

Your JBL Clip 4 speaker is now reset to factory defaults!

Note: Remove the Clip 4 from your phone’s Bluetooth list before pairing again.

    When JBL Clip 4 is turn on, press and hold the VOLUME UP Button and BLUETOOTH Key together

    Its VOL+ and BT not VOL+ and PLAY/PAUSE for Clip 4
    I just test it
